After only 12 months in a half barrel, previously occupied
by a smokin highland whisky and supplied by the now sadly closed,
John the Barrelman, this beautiful blend of lovingly distilled
(by Shaun at Ludlow Distillery) Foxwhelp cider, tart
and fragrant apples from our home orchard (which did not make
The Power and The Glory cut) and fresh pressed Yarlington Mill juice,
from apples picked and ferried by the indefatigable Robin Salmon
just over the border in Worcestershire, is GRIST FOR THE MILL ,
a noble cider and homage to many a glorious pommeau.
At 19% abv this vivid, dark, rich, unctuous apple distillate
is appley, tangy, woody and so tasty.
